Test category: In-situ analysis of Neodymium isotopic composition
Test target: apatite, titanite, monazite, etc.
Test period: 20-30 work days
Requirements:
1. thin sections, thick sections, or polished sections, length ≤ 5 cm, width ≤ 3 cm, thickness ≤ 0.8 cm, analysis spot marked on the reflected light images.
2. measurements can be done either by customer or by our technician.
Sample Nd concent should be > 400 ppm.
Samples Sm/Nd should be < 1. Please inform us in advance if not.
Analytical methods:
In-situ Nd isotope analysis by LA-MC-ICP-MS
Data quality:
Precision depends on sample Nd content and Sm/Nd ratios. The following precision is only for samples with low Sm and Nd concent = 1000 ppm:143Nd/144Nd < 0.000025(2SE)
