In-situ analysis of Strontium isotopic composition
Test category: In-situ analysis of Strontium isotopic composition
Test target: feldspar, clinopyroxene, apatite, carbonate, etc.
Test period: 20-30 work days
Requirements:
1. thin sections, thick sections, or polished sections, length ≤ 5 cm, width ≤ 3 cm, thickness ≤ 0.8 cm, analysis spot marked on the reflected light images.
2. measurements can be done either by customer or by our technician.
3. Strontium concent should be > 200 ppm for feldspar and > 80 ppm for clinopyroxene.
4.Rb/Sr ratio in samples should be < 0.1. If sample has higher Rb/Sr ratio, please infrom us in advance.

Analytical method introduction:
In situ Srisotope analysis of feldspar, clinopyroxene and apatite by LA-MC-ICP-MS
Data quality:
Analytical precision strongly depends sample’s Sr concent and Rb/Sr ratio. The following precision were obtained from Rb-poor samples.
Plagioclase
Sr concent 200-500 ppm, within-run precision of
87Sr/86Sr : 0.000050-0.000100 (2SE);
Sr concent 500-1000 ppm, within-run precision of
87Sr/86Sr : 0.000020-0.000050 (2SE);
Clinopyroxene
Sr concent 50-100 ppm, within-run precision of
87Sr/86Sr : 0.0003-0.0008(2SE);
Sr concent  >100 ppm, within-run precision of
87Sr/86Sr :0.0001-0.0003(2SE);
Apatite
Sr concent 50-100 ppm, within-run precision of
87Sr/86Sr :0.0003-0.0008(2SE);
Sr concent >100 ppm, within-run precision of
87Sr/86Sr :0.0001-0.0003(2SE);
